Steel Framed Tubular Scaffolding

These towers use interlocking frames and are built in height increments of 0.9m.
They are light and can be erected by two workers in a short time.
They can also be used in mobile form in conjunction with castors.
Maximum free standing heights allowed are based on maximum base to height ratio.

When the safe base to height ratios are exceeded, or there are high lateral or vertical loads,the tower must be secured to an adjacent structure.
Maximum height when secured is 12.6m and both sides of the tower need to be tied in.
Vertical spacing of the ties must not exceed three times the width of the tower.

Steel Kwikstage Scaffolding

Kwikstage scaffolding is a prefabricated tube structure that provides access to height in, predominantly, the construction industry, but may also be used for maintenance work and any other work at height. This system may also be used for propping of slabs and formwork.

The key components of Kwikstage are standards, ledgers, base jacks and hook-on boards. The standards, also called uprights, are the vertical tubes that transfer the entire weight of the structure to the ground where it rests on the base jacks.

The adaptability of the system enables the standards to be erected close together, where necessary, to accommodate heavier loads on the scaffold.
The ledgers are horizontal tubes (also called transoms) that connect between the standards.
